The IELA Articles and By-Laws lay down the rules and regulations of our association and can only be amended by members’ vote at the General Assembly meeting held during the annual IELA Congress. Download the latest copies, reviewed and amended in London 2009.
At the 24th IELA Congress in London, members voted in favour of a Board of Management Resolution to move from the current co-operative structure to a new legal structure. As such the current IELA Articles and By-Laws will be re-written by an Articles Committee comprising of senior members and under the stewardship of the IELA Chairman.
The proposed new IELA Articles and RuleBook is expected to be circulated to all members before the end of 2009. Subject to members’ comment and feedback, the proposed new IELA Articles and RuleBook will be tabled at the General Assembly meeting in Paris 2010 and members will be asked formally to accept them.
