Achim started in the exhibition logistics business with Carl Prior in Bremen in 1976. His career in our industry was interrupted for 5 years, when he worked out of New York in the field of project and heavy lift/oversize goods transportation from 1980 to 1985. Unable to resist the excitement of the Exhibition Industry, Achim re-signed with Carl Prior in 1985 only to join Cretschmar MesseCargo in 1988 where he is responsible for the Exhibition Export Division for the entire Cretschmar-Group. After joining IELA in 1997, Achim became a member of the Organizer Working Group in 2003, got promoted to Chairman of the Training Working Group in 2004 and elected to the Board of Management in 2007. Achim is married since 1991 and father of a boy.

Christoph is Managing Director of BTG Messe-Spedition GmbH in Germany, a founding member of IELA.

He is a member of both the Training Working Group and the Standards Working Group and was elected into the Board of Management in 2007.

Bob Moore started his involvement with IELA in 1989 when CEO of LEP International. In April 1996 he purchased Corrigans International and later formed Exposervice, both IELA members. Exposervice was sold to Agility in 2005 and Bob has continued to run Agility Fairs and Events in Australasia.

Bob has been on the board for over four years and looks after the MC role at Congresses and has sat on various working groups.

Farook Al Zeer's association with IELA goes back many years. As one of the foremost promoters of Events logistics in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, he has always ensured that his long innings with the Abu Dhabi-based Salem Freight International (SFI) would be marked by an empahsis on activities related to this discipline. That focus has remained unwavering and is further boosted by the prominence that the UAE is fast gaining in the world of fairs and exhibitions. With its superior infrastructure and sophisticated convention facilities, the major cities in the Emirates are increasingly being viewed as favorable destinations for important trade shows. Under his stewardship, SFI has grown into a trusted provider of quality on-site handling of some of the region's biggest events.

Trevor Foley’s company ESN took on the IELA Secretariat role in March 2008. Previously, over a period of ten years, Foley dramatically grew the AEO (Association of Event Organisers), launched the AEV (Association of Event Venues) and ESSA (Event Supplier and Services Association). Foley also formed the Events Industry Alliance (EIA) and focused his attention on to putting live marketing at the heart of all marketing strategies. He now runs his own business, ESN, which provides an M&A service, consultancy, BrilliantSpeakers.com, recruitment and insurance services. Finally, Foley is also a professional speaker on Events Industry issues.
