This website (including sub-sites and including text, images, software, services, tools and information contained in or presented on the website; all together the "site") is provided by IELA International Exhibition Logistics Association ("IELA" or "we"). For contact information, please see the imprint.

These terms and conditions of use (the "Terms") are applicable to our Site. These Terms, together with our privacy policy apply to any use of the Site. Visitors to the Site ("User" or "you") may use the Site only on condition that they accept to be bound by the Terms and read and understand the Privacy Policy.

USERNAMES AND PASSWORDS

When registering for a username, you agree that you will use only accurate and truthful information about yourself and your organisation and you will not imitate any other person or assume a false identity. You will immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your password, username or the Site, or any other breach of security (send your notice to us via the contact address on the Site). You agree not to disclose or share your username or password with any other person. You agree to assume and bear full responsibility for all risks arising out of the use of the Site by you and any other person using your username and password. 

USER CONTENT

Where this Site permits you to post or upload comments or any other content on the Site, then the following additional terms are applicable to your use and are hereby accepted by you. You understand that all information, content, text, data, messages or other materials, whether posted to the Site or privately transmitted ("User Content") is the responsibility of the person from which the User Content originated. You are responsible for all User Content that you post, transmit or otherwise make available on the Site or to others. EVENT REGISTRATIONS

If you use the Site or manual Email to register for an event, additional terms and conditions may be applicable to your registration and, if so, these additional terms will be displayed on the registration page. Such additional terms and conditions do not override these Terms.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IELA uses reasonable care in publishing materials available on the Site. However, IELA does not guarantee their accuracy or completeness. Materials available on the Sites are provided “as is” with no warranty, express or implied, and all such warranties are hereby disclaimed. IELA assumes no liability for any loss, damage or expense from errors or omissions in the materials available on the Site, whether arising in contract or otherwise.

IELA does not have or assume any responsibility for any third party content that may be available through the Site, nor for content linked to the Site or which are referred to on or linked to from the Site. IELA does not express an opinion about, recommend or endorse such content, and will not have any liability relating to it. Event Terms & Conditions for IELA Members

  1. IELA's Event Terms and Conditions apply on all IELA Events including Online Events
     
  2. Early Bird Rate only applies when registration and payment are received before or on March 8th 2024.
     
  3. Every registration & payment arriving in IELA's bank account on March 9th 2024, onwards will be threated as Late Booker and the Late Booker Fee will be applicable.
     
  4. The participation to the IELA Partnering event is free of charge for all IELA Members joining the IELA Congress. For all Members wishing to join the IELA Partnering Event only, the prices of the Congress are applicable.
     
  5. Only team members based in the country of the participant company can register for any IELA Event
     
  6. Full payment for all registrations must be made within 30 days upon receipt of an invoice. All invoices will be sent via email. 
     
  7. Cancellations must be made in written via email to adminiela.at.iela.org.
     
  8. If cancellation is received no later than March 21st 2024 you will be charged 50% of the delegate fee. If full payment has been received, a partial refund will be made within 14 days of cancellation.
     
  9. If cancellation is received after March 21st 2024 the full fee will be charged, however you may send a replacement delegate at no extra cost.
     
  10. If Multiple delegate places are booked and subsequently cancelled, the above cancellation terms will apply per delegate place. 
     
  11. Please note that booking and cancellation of accommodation is via the supplier. If you cancel your delegate place and have already booked accommodation via above mentioned link, it is your responsibility to notify the Hotel of your accommodation booking cancellation. Please note that cancellations must be submitted to your Hotel in writing.
     
  12. It is compulsory for all IELA Members to book their accomodation at the Grand Hilai Taipei. A penalty fee of EUR 300 per participant will be invoiced in case of non-completion.
     
  13. It is the attendees' responsibility to ensure that the relevant travel documents are obtained prior to the event. No refund will be given on the basis of an unsuccessful or delayed visa application. 
     
  14. If for any reason IELA decides to make material changes to the event, IELA is not responsible for covering airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants. In the event that IELA cancels the event, IELA reserves the right to transfer this booking to a future event. Should IELA fail for any reason to organise or identify an alternative event, in these circumstances delegate fees will be refunded in full. 
     
  15. IELA shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to any circumstances beyond the control of IELA, such as the venue or speaker change or the event is cancelled due to an act of terrorism, extreme weather conditions or industrial action. IELA shall endeavour to re-schedule.
     
  16. These terms and conditions are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute arising out of or in relation with the terms and conditions shall be submitted to the courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
     
  17. Copyright and Image rights.
    IELA plans to take photographs and video material at the IELA Congress and Partnering Event and reproduce them in IELA educational, news or promotional material, whether in print, electronic or other media, including IELA website and Social Media channels. By participating in IELA, you grant IELA and third parties the right to use your name and photograph (and biography) for such purposes. With your appearance at the IELA Congress/ Partnering Event you automatically agree.

    Furthermore I acknowledge IELA’s right to crop, splice, treat and edit any photographs or video material taken of me at any event at IELA’s sole discretion. I waive my right to inspect or approve the finished product, now and in the future, whether that use is known or unknown to me.

    I hereby agree to release, defend and hold harmless IELA and its employees, including any firm publishing and/or distributing the finished product win whole or in part, from and against any claims, damages or liability arising from or related to the use of the photographs or video material, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion or in the taking, processing, reduction or production of finished product, its publication or distribution. 
     
  18. Disclaimer
    By participating in any events planned and controlled by the International Exhibition Logistics Association (hereinafter referred to as “IELA”), the participants agree to the following conditions:
    The events of IELA are provided without any specific warranty either express or implied. The organizers, including but not limited to the committee members, advisory and sponsors of the events of IELA assume no liability for any loss, theft, damage, or injury to property or persons, including death, whether arising in contract, negligence, equity, or otherwise.
    The participation in the events of IELA is at the participant’s own risk. By participating in the event, the participant acknowledges that he or she is aware of the possible risks, dangers and hazards associated with the participation in the event and that he or she is solely responsible for any injury, loss or damage as stated above.
    IELA reserves the right to exclude individuals from participating in the event, if a participant does not accept this disclaimer.
     
  19. Data Processing
    By registering to the IELA Events, IELA has access to the contact information that you provide during the Event Registration Process and other demographic information you have provided in your registration. At the time of registering for an event, we ask you to provide a portrait for inclusion in the printed programme for the event. We also include your name, company name and country in participant lists on the public event Website, the IELA App and the printed programme for the event as well as the networking software MyAgenda accessible to all registered delegates. It is necessary for us to collect and process this data for the performance of a contract to which you are party (event participation), and the legal basis for processing this data is the performance of this contract.

    Data related solely to an event and that is not part of your contact details, in particular dietary requirements and participation at side events, is only collected for internal event organization and to take care of your wellbeing at a specific event. Such data will be deleted immediately after the specific event has been taken place or you delete your profile at the IELA Website. 

    You will be asked whether you consent to photograhs being taken of you at an event. Where consent is given, photographs may be used for marketing events.

    Information on event registrants, including contact details, may be shared with third parties in association with the event. Examples of "third parties" include hotels, event organizers (including via third party web sites), speakers and panelists. Please check the details provided in the registration process for individual events to understand how your information will be used and retained by third parties. Where your data may be shared with third parties for purposes other than the event preparation and organization, we will seek your consent before sharing the data, and we will only share your data if we have your consent.

  20. IELA reserves the right to exclude or remove anyone who does not comply with these terms and conditions or who they reasonably consider is likely to break these rules.

Event Terms & Conditions for Non-Members

  1. All delegate bookings are subject to approval by IELA - International Exhibition Logistics Association ("IELA").
     
  2. Companies, sending delegates to the Event, must be in existence for minimum 1 year and have been actively involved in the exhibition & event freight forwarding business since 1 year. A verification providing your business activity and company existence is required (website, brochure, chamber of commerce etc.) as well as at least 3 recommendations of existing IELA Members you worked with before (asking them to fill in the Partnering Event Sponsorship Form ) are a compulsory part of the Event Registration for Non-Members.
     
  3. Only team members based in the country of the participant company can register for any IELA Event
     
  4. Early Bird Rate only applies when registration and payment are received before or on March 8th 2024.
     
  5. Every registration & payment arriving in IELA's bank account on 9th March 2024 onwards will be threated as Late Booker and the Late Booker Fee will be applicable.
     
  6. Full payment for all registrations must be made within 10 days upon receipt of an invoice. All invoices will be sent via email. 
     
  7. In case of late payment, an interest of 5% will be applied.
     
  8. Cancellations must be made in written via email to adminiela.at.iela.org.
     
  9. If cancellation is received no later than March 21st 2024 you will be charged 50% of the delegate fee. If full payment has been received, a partial refund will be made within 14 days of cancellation. 
     
  10. If cancellation is received after March 21st 2024 the full fee will be charged, however you may send a replacement delegate at no extra cost.
     
  11. If Multiple delegate places are booked and subsequently cancelled, the above cancellation terms will apply per delegate place. 
     
  12. IELA reserves the right to not allow a company to take part in future IELA events in case of non-payment of invoices.
     
  13. Please note that booking and cancellation of accommodation is via the supplier. If you cancel your delegate place and have already booked accommodation via above mentioned link, it is your responsibility to notify the Hotel of your accommodation booking cancellation. Please note that cancellations must be submitted to your Hotel in writing.
     
  14. It is the attendees' responsibility to ensure that the relevant travel documents are obtained prior to the event. No refund will be given on the basis of an unsuccessful or delayed visa application.
     
  15. If for any reason IELA decides to make material changes to the event, IELA is not responsible for covering airfare, hotel or other costs incurred by registrants. In the event that IELA cancels the event, IELA reserves the right to transfer this booking to a future event. Should IELA fail for any reason to organise or identify an alternative event, in these circumstances delegate fees will be refunded in full.

IELA shall not be liable for any failure to perform its obligations due to any circumstances beyond the control of IELA, such as the venue or speaker change or the event is cancelled due to an act of terrorism, extreme weather conditions or industrial action. IELA shall endeavour to re-schedule.

    Every registration & payment arriving in IELA's bank account on March 16th 2024. full payment will be applicable.
  3. Full payment for all registrations must be made within 30 days upon receipt of an invoice. All invoices will be sent via email. 
     
  4. Cancellations must be made in written via email to adminiela.at.iela.org.
     
  5. If cancellation is received after 1st April 2024 you will be charged 50% of the delegate fee. If full payment has been received, a partial refund will be made within 14 days of cancellation.
